Phillip Jacques

First Sergeant Phillip V. Jacques:

Phillip V. Jacques was raised in Brookings, Oregon and graduated from Brookings Harbor High School. He earned an Associate’s Degree from Linn Benton Community College and a Bachelors Degree from Roger Williams University (Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society).

Jacques is a graduate of many military schools, including U.S. Army Ranger School, Army Airborne School, Army Mountain Warfare School (Commandants List) and Army Air Assault School.

He is a veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom II.   Missions included, but not limited to, serving as Extraction Force to newly elected Iraqi government leaders, including the President and Prime Minister of Iraq; Operation Yellowstone; Operation Medicine Arrow; and over 10 combat Air Assault missions.

After being severely wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom II, Jacques helped organize the Reintegration Program, helping returning veterans receive their entitlements and benefits, jobs, medical services, financial assistance and education. This Program is the first of its kind and received national recognition. The program is also the only one to incorporate a Joint team with members from all branches of the service.

Jacques was also selected to perform duties as a Training Advisor to the Presidential Global Peace Keeping Initiative for the mission of training of over 20,000 troops in the Pacific Rim. Training Advisor missions included Mongolia 2006, two missions to Bangladesh in 2008 and Cambodia 2009.

Jacques is currently performing duties as the JFHQ Garrison Command Senior Operations NCO, a unit consisting of 8 units and 850 Service Members.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Ranger Tab

U.S. Parachute Badge and Air Assault Badge.

Jacques resides in Millersburg, Oregon with his wife Rhonda and their three children Gabriel, Owen and Faith.

He was born in Cape Town ,South Africa .After graduating college with a degree in accounting and economics he settled in the US.

He worked for a prominent CPA firm and later launched the fashion design house of MARK EISEN, which soon became a world leader showing on the runways of New York. He licensed products in the United States, Italy and Japan .

In addition the company designed wardrobes for movies such as Director Robert Altman’s ‘The Player ‘, television shows as well as the Rolling Stones (Voodoo Lounge tour) and the Who’s Pete Townsend.
He partnered with General Motors, aiding the design of the Chevrolet Z-28 Camaro-Convertible.
In 1994 and 1995 the Company was presented with an American Achievement Award by the late Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown for bringing the hallmark of excellence to American Fashion.
In conjunction with the Olympic Committee the Company designed Grammy award winner Faith Hill’s costumes for the closing ceremony performance at the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta.
Created at the request of former President and First lady Bill and Hillary Clinton holiday decorations for the White House and contributed custom tree ornaments for display on the famous White House Christmas tree.

Throughout those years in fashion , nevertheless ,he was unable to erase his half buried love of movies.

He has been heavily involved over the past 10 years in the development of projects for the film and entertainment industry. Working from the first steps of raising capital, analyzing film budgets, to final film distribution he has insight into every facet of producing a motion picture or TV show. Some of his feature credits include co producing 10th & Wolf written and directed by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco ,The Grief Tourist ,Black Gold and Area 407 .TV shows produced include Real American Meals and Abby’s Groovy Getaways.

In addition he was appointed program director of the Palm Beach International Film Festival for the period 2008 -2010 and has served on the jury of several film festivals.

He currently resides in Los Angeles married to Veronica De Laurentiis,daughter of legendary film producer Dino De Laurentiis.
